We can supply, cut and code keys to most vehicles including remote and proximity keys. We cut our vehicle keys to code, which ensures that the new key is cut to the manufacture specifications.   This does cost a little more but it does help to prevent your locks from wearing out and not functioning properly.

Motorbikes

Some motorbikes have a red learning key that is used for coding in additional keys, without this, the dealers cannot add new keys to your bike.  We do not need the red learning key, but can clone your existing key to provide you with a spare.

If you do not have a working key because it has been lost or stolen the dealer will have to replace your locks and ECU – this can be extremely expensive.  If you come to us we can code your new keys, (including spare keys) into your ECU giving you peace of mind and saving you thousands.

Is the plastic case on your car key broken?

We can replace the casing and use your existing central locking remote and transponder chip to save you money, rather than replace the whole key. see more here

Has your remote stopped working?  Have the buttons worn off?  

We can replace the remote case and get it working like new. Once the rubber buttons ware out it is also common for the buttons on the remote to break off, we can replace the buttons on to the remote saving you the cost of having to replace the whole key.

Dealer only keys?

Some dealers will tell you that they are the only ones who can supply you with keys to your car.  For example, if you own a BMW the dealer will have to order your key from overseas, which could take up to two weeks to arrive.

This is not the case.  At Adelaide Automotive Locksmiths, we do not want to keep you waiting! We will come to you and get the information that we need from your car to cut your key!

Some dealers may say that for European cars the keys have to be ordered directly from them because the key is pre-coded with vehicle specific information.   At Adelaide Automotive Locksmiths, we have specialised equipment that can read the pre-coded specific information allowing us to supply, cut and code the keys to many makes and models.
